Friends of The Cottonwood School

Parent-Teacher Organization

Friends of Cottonwood is the parent-teacher organization, with a mission of supporting volunteer and fundraising efforts on behalf of the school.
Joining Friends is one way in which you can help build on and support the community and the opportunities our kids will have this year, and help fulfill your volunteer hours.

You can get involved with Friends however works best for you: from one-time commitments to longer duration jobs, such as helping with the Arts Park Run (which helps raise funds for the school’s arts programming), organizing Field Day at the end of the year, or helping fill the staff snack baskets and coordinate staff appreciation events.

We all have different skills, interests, and time, and we welcome whatever you can bring! In addition, much of the Friends volunteer time happens during out-of-school time, so if you are a full-time working parent, joining Friends can be a great way to fulfill volunteer hours without taking time off work.

We currently consist of a strong core group of volunteers committed to having fun while getting things done, and we’d love to have you!

Meetings are every 1st Monday, usually at Elephant’s on Corbett

We occasionally meet for the monthly meeting at the New Seasons rooftop cafe on Woodstock in SE. Please check Facebook for details

We invite you to participate in Friends meetings and activities throughout the year. Parent involvement is a fundamental part of what makes the school experience here so special. We need both your financial support and your volunteer efforts.
